About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking an Airport Supervisor of Training & Compliance (Bargaining Unit, Local 25). This is a hands-on aviation operations role for a dynamic airport environment where safety, security, training, and operational continuity are critical. The ideal candidate will lead and educate others, build strong partnerships with airlines, tenants, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders, remain composed during emergencies and operational disruptions, and leverage sound judgment to solve complex challenges while ensuring a safe, secure, and seamless experience for passengers, employees, and the airport community.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in airport operations, airline operations, or a related aviation environment, with demonstrated operational knowledge and industry expertise.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams, coordinate activities, and support operational excellence.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and utilize operational, training, and web-based systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required licenses, certifications, security clearances, and badges, including airfield driving privileges and compliance with Massport's background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the safe, secure, and efficient operation of Logan Airport through operational readiness, workforce training, regulatory compliance, and the continuous development of staff knowledge and capabilities.
  • Maintains a strong focus on preparedness, accountability, and operational excellence in a dynamic airport environment.
  • Serves as a trusted operational partner, fostering productive relationships with airlines, tenants, government agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to address challenges, coordinate solutions, and enhance the overall passenger and stakeholder experience.
  • Provides leadership and sound judgment during emergencies, security incidents, weather events, and operational disruptions, ensuring timely decision-making, effective communication, and coordinated responses that minimize operational impacts while prioritizing safety and security.
  • Coordinates complex airport operations, special events, seasonal initiatives, and critical operational activities, balancing competing priorities to maintain service continuity, support regulatory requirements, and deliver a seamless experience for passengers, employees, tenants, and the broader airport community.
