About The Position

Fast Park & Relax is seeking safe drivers to provide reliable, courteous transportation between its parking lot and the airport terminal. Drivers operate a shuttle while prioritizing passenger safety and comfort, following designated routes and schedules, and providing customer service to passengers. The role includes vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, recordkeeping, keeping the shuttle clean, and assisting passengers with luggage. The position is part-time at the BWI Fast Park location in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The posting lists an hourly salary range of $11.00–$11.50.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
Experience working with diverse populations and providing excellent customer service.
Ability to maintain a safe driving record and comply with safety regulations.
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of defensive driving techniques, traffic laws, and regulations.
Ability to navigate efficiently in various traffic conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with passengers, dispatchers, and staff.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and provide courteous customer service.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues.
Ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
Ability to assist passengers with luggage or other belongings and maintain a clean, organized vehicle.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Operate the shuttle bus safely and responsibly in compliance with traffic laws and DOT regulations.
Transport passengers to and from designated locations using predetermined routes and schedules.
Maintain accurate trip counts and other required documentation.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Keep the shuttle bus clean and orderly inside and out.
Provide professional, courteous customer service and respond to passengers’ questions and concerns.
Assist passengers with luggage and other belongings.
Coordinate routes and schedules with guest ambassadors, dispatchers, and other team members.
Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and customer-service policies.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Participate in mandatory training required by DOT regulations and company policy.
Immediately report accidents and incidents to appropriate authorities and company personnel.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
