About The Position

Westin BWI is seeking a part-time Driver to transport guests to the BWI Airport. The driver ensures that guest arrivals, departures, and other guest-contact experiences are handled efficiently and in a friendly manner. The role also includes providing courteous assistance with vehicles, luggage, hotel information, and directions. Hotel experience is preferred.

Requirements

Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers, including those requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger.
Ability to obtain information from luggage tags and claim checks and identify airline or customer pickup and drop-off points and street signs.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage.
Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit and continuously perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and walk distances throughout the property, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Excellent driving record, as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Follow traffic regulations while transporting customers to and from the airport terminal or other designated locations.
Park guest vehicles or retrieve valet-parked vehicles promptly and courteously, using claim tickets to ensure proper delivery.
Respond to customer needs by moving between the door post and other areas of the hotel.
Greet guests promptly with a friendly and sincere welcome and open car doors for arriving and departing customers.
Respond immediately to customer questions about hotel features, services, and assistance.
Provide clear directions to hotel facilities and nearby attractions.
Maintain driveway traffic flow and keep the main entrance accessible, with space for loading and unloading passengers and luggage.
Listen to and promptly respond to guest and associate inquiries and requests for assistance.
Lift and move luggage, packages, and boxes from vehicles and carts onto the ground, baggage carts, conveyors, or other vehicles.
Communicate the features and services of hotel facilities.
Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
