Airport Security Officer: Full-Time Thursday-Monday
About The Position
As an Airport Security Officer with Allied Universal in Honolulu, Hawaii, you will support a government airport location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and provide courteous customer service and clear communication to travelers, employees, and visitors. The role involves carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies, monitoring access and restricted areas, and accurately documenting activities. The scheduled workdays are Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 3:30 p.m. to midnight. The pay rate is $25.25 per hour.
Requirements
- At least one year of airport experience.
- A valid driver’s license with at least one year of experience holding it.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions; licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, terminals, and surrounding facilities according to applicable procedures and site requirements.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disruptions, and critical situations; communicate observations to airport personnel and emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of airport facilities, terminal areas, parking locations, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
- Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Maintain professional interactions with the public and staff.
