As an Airport Security Officer: F/T in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers and staff. Requirements

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
18+ years of age
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, restricted-access locations, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering designated areas in accordance with location procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
Maintain a professional presence while assisting with traffic flow, providing directions, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with established procedures.
