Airport Security Officer: Part Time Mon/Wed/Sat
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Airport Security Officer at a government airport location in Kahului, Hawaii. The officer will safeguard clients and support travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff through unarmed patrols, access-control procedures, emergency response activities, and professional customer service. The role uses computer or tablet technology to document observations and communicate important information. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The pay rate is $26.50 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Pass a background check, physical, and drug screening, as applicable and permitted by law.
- Pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office requirements.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions; the posting also lists a valid driver's license with one or more years as a requirement.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate airport personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public-facing locations according to site policies; report security concerns and maintain accurate activity documentation.
- Provide directions, answer questions, and communicate professionally with diverse members of the public.
- Use computer or tablet technology to document observations and communicate important information.
