About The Position

The project manager will coordinate efforts between Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA) stakeholders (DOA, AATC, COA, Airline Carriers, etc.), Distribution, Transmission, and Resiliency departments. They will partner w/ the Key Account Manager to develop communication messaging for upcoming construction efforts, scheduled outages, and unanticipated system events w/ the airport stakeholders. They will lead the HJAIA Initiative Committee, responsible for prioritizing system improvement, new business, maintenance, and system planning projects at the airport. This role will also be responsible for determining and managing the annual airport capital budgets that encompass Transmission, Distribution, and NUS organizations. The project manager will provide long-term planning for all HJAIA-related projects for Distribution, Transmission, and Network Underground, while incorporating Generation (Resiliency) integration initiatives. They will be heavily engaged in the scoping of all airport related projects to assist w/ coordination and scheduling to identify and mitigate risk during construction efforts. They will serve as the approval authority for any work activities affecting the airport and lead departmental and executive communication for all airport operations interactions. They will be responsible for leading all system restoration efforts at the airport. The project manager will collaborate with the Distribution, TMC, NUS, and Resiliency leadership along with the Region Director and Key Account Manager to ensure operational excellence and business continuity. They will coordinate the execution of short- and long-term transmission, distribution and network projects and manage risk by controlling how and when work is performed. The project manager will lead a committee that includes distribution, transmission, resiliency, regional external, sales, and support teams with growth and planning projects, operational response, prevention and recovery plans, and resiliency integration projects. They will collaborate with partners in the Renewable and Resilient Generation group, Region External, and Sales for all airport-related projects and provide reports to these teams and leadership. The project manager also responds and supports SERP efforts and other rapid transportation entities in the Metro Atlanta area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of combined experience in Distribution and Transmission.

  • Experience managing capital and O&M budgets is preferred.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.

  • Experience with JETS, TCMS, CSS, ARMS, or DISTIEW is preferred.
  • Experience with STOMP, TEAMS, is a plus.
  • Experience with storm response and planning is preferred.
