Airport Operations Specialist
About The Position
Performs facility maintenance activities at the University Airport as required for an FAA certificated airport; conducts airfield inspections and maintenance; conducts building inspections and maintenance; conducts airport grounds inspections and maintenance; assists with vehicle inspections and maintenance; assists with security and public safety functions; operates various construction equipment and vehicles; operates snow removal equipment pertaining to runways, taxiways, and airport grounds; assists with special events at the airport. This position is on emergency call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Requirements
- HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent educ/exp
- Current valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass FAA required airport driver's test within 60 days of employment
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- AAAE Basic ASOS
- Familiarity with Federal Air Regulation Parts 36, 77, 14 CFR Part 139, and 150 series Advisory Circulars
- Working knowledge of general trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc)
