About The Position

Porter performs a full range of duties and responsibilities in support of the lounge operations at The Club in Charleston International Airport. Puts away deliveries in an organized and efficient manner. Cleans and organizes storage areas. Performs inventory count. Stocks and rotates food items in kitchen, pantry, and bar areas following FIFO method.

Requirements

  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the scope of primary job duties.
  • Requires ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance in keeping with service standards in a best-in-class environment.
  • Be able to stand during entire scheduled shift.
  • Ability to handle the stress of a face-paced work shift up to ten (10) hours.
  • Requires the ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
  • Report on work on a regular and timely basis.
  • Must be able to pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and organize storage areas utilizing FIFO (first in first out) method and ensure compliance with food safety and storing requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
  • Restock beverage stations, pantry, and kitchen with product to par levels utilizing a cart to move items from storage area(s) to appropriate lounge area(s).
  • Put away deliveries in an efficient and organized manner following FIFO method.
  • Maintain required log sheets (receiving log, temperature logs, etc.).
  • Perform inventory count.
  • Label and date products.
  • Assist with cleaning of all lounge areas.
  • Assist with the removal of trash throughout lounge, taking to designated disposal areas.
  • Performs dishwashing responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
