The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking a seasoned and experienced operations professional to join their team as an Airport Duty Manager (ADM). This is a new position, and applicants must be available to work all shifts (day, swing, and graveyard) 7 days a week, including holidays, in a 24x7x365 operation. The ADM plays a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the airport, including airside, landside, and terminal activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and secure operations. Outside of regular business hours or when Executive Management is unavailable, the ADM acts with the highest level of authority and is the overall airport decision-making authority. This role demands excellent leadership, advanced critical thinking, strategic thinking, independent decision-making, timely communication, and the ability to prioritize competing demands. Primary responsibilities include managing emergency response, regulatory compliance, reviewing construction design plans, overseeing airfield construction, and being a proactive member of the Safety Management System. Successful candidates will have comprehensive experience in developing and overseeing programs such as wildlife hazard management, gate management systems, Safety Management Systems (SMS), training programs, snow and ice control, airfield construction, and drone programs. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of FAA regulations, including Part 139, and operational tools like the Airport Certification Manual, Airport Emergency Plan, Airport Security Plan, TSA Part 1542, and other applicable regulations.
