About The Position

The Data Reporting Analyst is responsible for reporting, analysis, and metrics of work in support of the Aviation Contract Administration Team. Conducts departmental research, sourcing, reporting, operations management, and departmental operations. Designs and prepares reports by accessing databases or by consolidating data from multiple sources. Lays out report formats and produces reports. May summarize data and provide commentary or observations based on analysis. Sources of data may be enterprise systems, complex spreadsheets, databases, etc. requiring specialized expertise or training. Work is performed under general supervision with review and advice from a manager or a senior-level professional. May work independently or with other team members to complete assigned tasks. Positions in this class may also perform other related administrative or operational tasks within the organization provided they have a similar level of professional challenge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business/public administration, accounting, finance, or related field (Additional years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the required degree on an exceptional basis, with a minimum of seven (7) years of professional related experience in creation, reporting, and/or management of data)
  • Three (3) years of work experience in creation, reporting, and/or management of data or closely related tasks (not including data entry).
  • Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes, contract administration, and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, PivotTables, Power Query), Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Knowledge of ERP and procurement systems (e.g., Oracle or equivalent).
  • Ability to develop meaningful dashboards and executive-level reports.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of public sector procurement practices and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree as described above, plus 4 years’ experience in data analysis.
  • Skilled (intermitted level) in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret procurement data from multiple systems to support purchasing operations.
  • Ensure complete and correct data entry on all forms and systems.
  • Monitor key procurement performance indicators (KPIs), including requisition cycle times, contract utilization, supplier performance, cost savings, and procurement compliance.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify qualified vendors.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery dates, and basic pricing questions.
  • Analyze procurement trends and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support supplier diversity, sustainability, and compliance reporting in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from management and external stakeholders within established timelines.
  • Support internal and external audits by compiling procurement records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, procurement analytics, and reporting technologies to recommend continuous improvements.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
