About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking an Airport Community Data Specialist for Hanscom Field (BED), the premier general aviation airport in the Greater Boston area. This role is integral to Massport's mission of enhancing regional connectivity, fostering economic growth, and prioritizing safety and sustainability in aviation. The ideal candidate is a composed and emotionally intelligent communicator with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights. They will manage community and stakeholder inquiries, analyze operational and noise data, and support regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 3-5 years’ of professional office experience demonstrating strong writing ability, solid computer skills, and analytical capabilities required, preferably in an airport or aviation related setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and database concepts.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Access preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Aviation/piloting experience and knowledge or exposure to acoustics relating to aviation noise preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represents Massport in community forums, communicating operational plans and noise-related information with clarity and sensitivity.
  • Manages community and stakeholder inquiries, ensuring accurate, timely, and well-documented responses.
  • Analyzes and compiles operational and noise data, producing reports to support compliance, transparency, and decision-making.
  • Supports regulatory compliance and administrative functions through coordination with vendors, agencies, and internal teams.
