About The Position

Sodexo's Airline Lounge Segment is seeking a General Manager to join the team operating the United Club Lounge at MSP International Airport in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves creating and delivering a culinary-driven, upscale experience within a thoughtfully designed travel oasis. The ideal candidate will possess eclectic menu knowledge and upscale a la carte experience, as this is a hands-on management position requiring previous experience in upscale food production. Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • 2-3 years experience at the Ops Mgr or AGM level with a recognized concept or company
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication skills
  • Passion for a high-level of customer service
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
  • Working knowledge of menu graphics programs
  • Experience in financials, preparation and oversight
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience
  • Minimum 2 years of functional experience
  • Previous experience managing upscale food production
  • Eclectic menu knowledge
  • Upscale a la carte experience

Responsibilities

  • Have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff
  • Ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs
  • Be fully versed in Profit and Loss, inventory and fiscal responsibilities of operating a stand alone business
