About The Position

We are Maersk. We are looking to appoint an Airfreight Station Manager to lead our air freight operations in Toronto, Canada. This is a fully onsite leadership role with end‑to-end accountability for operational execution, financial performance, people leadership, and customer outcomes at station level. The role reports to the Head of Air Operations & Customer Experience and sits at the center of how we deliver reliable, cost‑efficient, and scalable air freight services for our customers across Canada. The Station Manager is responsible to deliver measurable outcomes across service, productivity, financial controls, customer growth, continuous improvement, and culture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience within freight forwarding or logistics
  • 3–5+ years operating at Station Manager, Air Operations Manager, or equivalent level
  • Proven air freight operational leadership experience (required)
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding
  • Experience leading teams through performance management and change
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Operational systems experience; CargoWise preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Owning full P&L accountability, including revenue performance, cost management, and gross profit
  • Leading end-to-end air freight operations, ensuring compliant, timely, and high-quality shipment execution
  • Driving adherence to standard operating procedures, operational KPIs, and customer‑specific IOPs
  • Improving station productivity and reducing cost per shipment through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Managing performance across operations and customer service activities
  • Supporting customer growth through close collaboration with sales and direct customer engagement
  • Acting as a leader of leaders, coaching and developing team leads and supervisors
  • Building a culture of ownership, accountability, and inclusion
