About The Position

The Airframe and Powerplant Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs with a primary focus on the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan platform. This role requires strong working knowledge of turboprop systems, PT6 engine operations, and high-utilization aircraft maintenance environments. All work must be performed in compliance with FAA Part 145 and Part 135 standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
  • Direct experience on Cessna 208B Grand Caravan
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance procedures
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.
  • This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-utilization turboprop operations (cargo, charter, or Part 135)
  • Prior experience supporting AOG or field maintenance operations
  • Familiarity with Garmin avionics commonly installed in Caravan aircraft
  • Ground support equipment operation (Forklift/Scissor Lift preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PT6A engine systems, propeller systems, fuel systems, and avionics interfaces specific to Caravan operations.
  • Conduct detailed inspections including 100-hour, annual, progressive, and phase inspections in accordance with FAA regulations.
  • Interpret and apply OEM maintenance manuals, IPCs, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins related to the Caravan platform.
  • Diagnose mechanical discrepancies using pilot write-ups, system diagnostics, and hands-on inspection techniques.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance activities in Corridor, CAMP, or equivalent systems.
  • Perform structural repairs, including sheet metal work, as required.
  • Maintain compliance with all FAA regulations, company SOPs, and safety programs.
  • Support AOG response as needed, including rapid troubleshooting and return-to-service actions.
  • Ensure all work areas, tooling, and equipment are maintained in a safe and compliant condition.
