The purpose of this position is to create, edit and update engine shop workscopes. This position is responsible for determining customer technical needs for each engine received and effectively flowing those requirements to the shop. The workscope engineer must interface with customers, technical resources and mechanics to provide maintenance instructions that comply with all regulatory and safety guidelines, while providing the most cost-effective solution. Additional engineering duties and/or projects will be assigned as required. This role provides engineering support for turbofan engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities. The engineer will analyze engine performance data, shop findings, and reliability trends to identify issues and improvements, and develop and revise engine work scopes, repair schemes and technical documentation. The role also supports troubleshooting and root cause analysis of engine faults, removals, and in-service events, ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, and OEM requirements. Collaboration with production, quality, and inspection teams is expected to improve turnaround time (TAT) and cost efficiency, along with supporting engine testing, validation, and post-overhaul performance verification. The engineer will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to technicians and junior engineers.
