About The Position

Freight Runners Express / Air Charter Express (FRE/ACE) is hiring A&P Aircraft Mechanics at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The role performs scheduled maintenance and inspections, unscheduled repairs, troubleshooting, and component installation. Aircraft airframe and engine work is performed in-house. FRE/ACE describes its facilities as newer, with heated hangars and updated aircraft and avionics, and notes opportunities for career advancement into management.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic.
Hold an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
Be able to pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
Be able to obtain airport security credentials, including FBI and TSA clearance.
Be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Be skilled in all phases of aircraft maintenance.
Be a self-starter and work well with others.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with Embraer, Saab, Dash 8, ATR, or Dornier 328 aircraft.
Previous supervisory experience and/or RII experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine scheduled aircraft maintenance and inspections.
Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals.
Complete required electronic record keeping.
Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize aircraft downtime.
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and powerplant issues.
Install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand and power tools.
Work collaboratively with a team to accomplish projects.
