About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Airfoil Cell Operator for the 2nd Shift to join their team. This role involves performing inspections, transporting parts, and utilizing inspection equipment to ensure the quality of turbine airfoils. The operator will work from established procedures and drawings to perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections. The position requires adherence to operational sheets, recognition of repair needs, and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
1-3 years of related experience.
OR a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of production turbine airfoils and other equipment using specified methods and techniques.
Accept or reject material based on findings.
Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
Plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections on turbine airfoils using established written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions.
Utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify accuracy of parts and accept or reject based on findings.
Perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions, ensuring operation sheets are followed.
Recognize the need for and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work.
Complete logs, quality assurance forms, and other records as necessary.
