About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Airfoil Cell Operator for the 3rd Shift. This role involves operating and maintaining machinery to produce parts, performing assembly and finishing operations, and ensuring equipment functions properly. The position is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship due to program/contract access requirements.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 6 months manufacturing/industrial/aerospace experience.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate simple machines or equipment, or operate grouped simple machines to produce parts where methods and processes are well-developed and proper tooling and fixtures are provided.
Transport parts, raw material, and fixtures.
Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer-generated information, and verbal instructions to obtain specified equipment, tools, and gages to machine, fabricate, and finish a variety of production parts.
Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using a variety of handheld tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Perform part preparatory functions including grit blast, shot peening, masking, and routine oven operations.
Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions.
Record results and enter information into computer data systems.
Perform routine servicing of assigned equipment following specified procedures and written instructions.
Assist others responsible for new equipment or processes.
