About The Position

The Airfield Supervisor guides and is responsible for the production, safety, and performance of employees. This role involves engaging with employees to complete all daily tasks for the department, coordinating day-to-day activities of the crew, training and coaching new employees, observing work procedures, and performing and inspecting completed work to ensure adherence to quality, efficiency, and safety standards. The supervisor will also complete daily shift reports documenting completed work, any accidents/injuries, or issues/incidents. Duties include manually removing and replacing fabric aircraft seat covers and deep cleaning leather aircraft seat covers, which requires stretching, pulling, and tugging repeatedly and forcibly to ensure a secure fit. The role also involves cleaning up the workspace following each service, practicing safe work methods, and performing other related duties as requested, while following all company policies and procedures. Being physically present at work on all scheduled days/times is essential to meet workload productivity standards.

Requirements

  • At least one full year of airfield ramp supervisory experience in ground handling or cabin cleaning is required.
  • Valid driver's license for at least 1 full year, with clear driving record.
  • Previous airfield driving experience is required.
  • Must be able to attain an airport security badge during the hiring process and maintain an active badge for the duration of employment, without lapse at any time.
  • Proficient English required.
  • Able to take direction from supervisory staff.
  • Able to follow airline-specific guidelines with tasks pertaining to the seat care management process.
  • Safety conscious work approach is required.
  • Must be physically capable to execute the duties of this labor-intensive position.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive upper body movement while pulling 50 lbs. constantly and over 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Constant movements include: Bending, Handling/fingering, Reaching, Repetitive movement, Squatting/kneeling, Standing, Walking, Overhead pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
