Planner - Aircraft Tooling leverages advanced data analytics and technical expertise to drive the development, procurement, and strategic allocation of all aircraft tooling to meet United's operational demands and schedules, while taking full ownership of tooling planning efforts for designated fleet(s) and tooling families. Utilizes data-driven insights and analytical tools to establish and enforce standard tooling requirements for each fleet type and mission, and actively maintains comprehensive inventories of non-standard tools requested by stations through robust database management systems. Applies technical proficiency in inventory management systems and logistics platforms to lead tooling logistics systemwide and directly coordinate all tool movement operations. Analyzes performance metrics and operational data to build and strengthen partnerships with customers (station toolrooms) and vendors, cultivating ongoing relationships through data-informed decision-making. Champions continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives by leveraging predictive analytics, process optimization techniques, and technical problem-solving skills to deliver measurable results in aircraft tooling efficiency and effectiveness
