About The Position

Join Our BAE Systems Team as an A&P Aircraft Mechanic in Mojave, CA We’re seeking a skilled and motivated A&P Aircraft Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Mojave, CA. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to ensure safe, reliable, and mission‑ready performance. As an integral member of our maintenance organization, you will: Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of basic aircraft systems. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on both mechanical and electrical systems. Provide hands‑on technical support to engineers working in research, design, and development environments. Execute a variety of non‑standardized tasks requiring sound judgment and moderate technical complexity. Select, adapt, and apply standard procedures, tools, and equipment to meet unique maintenance requirements. Follow initial instructions and collaborate closely with supervisors and engineering personnel to complete assignments accurately and efficiently. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 10 years’ experience or AA Degree and 8 years’ experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Able to determine time, place and sequence of operations or action to be taken.
  • Ability to be subject to both external and internal environmental conditions.
  • Able to change physical work locations based on needs.
  • Must have FAA Airframe and Powerplant License. Please have license number on resume.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree & 10 year(s) related experience
  • Previous Experience on DC-9 / C9 aircraft
  • Previous Experience on corporate type, preferably Sabreliner.
  • FAA IA certificate.
  • FCC GROL Certificate.
