Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary preemployment test for drugs as per DOT regulations.
  • Depending on location, you may be required to pass the required background checks for TSA FBI etc. to obtain an airport issued badge such as SIDA, AOA, or any other badge required by the airport authority.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
  • Commitment to continuous learning (keeping up with new technologies & regulations.
  • Must have strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work products.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift.
  • Have mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools safely.

  • Mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft disassembly which includes the proper and safe removal of aircraft parts, components, subcomponents, including but not limited to panels, electrical wires, valves, actuators, accumulators, fire bottles, pneumatic ducts, hydraulic lines, control cables, flight control surfaces, seats, galleys, and lavatories.
  • Follow AFRA Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association guidelines and manufactures manuals.
  • Properly remove, transport, and store parts.
  • Complete all tasks to the quality standards of AerSale AFRA and our customers’ requirements.
  • Perform disassembly work within estimated or budgeted hours.
  • Read and use manuals as required and directed to ensure safe and proper removal according to AFRA best practices as applicable.
  • Ensure that AerSale, Inc. and customer aircraft maintenance documents are accurate and properly annotated.
  • Ensure that all parts are kept secure within the confines of AerSale property.
  • Ensure that all parts deemed scrap are properly destroyed or altered to a point in which they cannot be re-introduced into supply chain.
  • Use and safely operate all ground support equipment, (i.e., Main Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.) and possess AerSale, Inc. operating certification.
  • Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to ensure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the AerSale, Inc. applicable locations Safety Manual.
  • Responsible for the proper execution of parts tags attached to as removed and condemned parts.
  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments and co-workers.
  • Keep own and adjacent work area clean.
  • Ensure that, if necessary, lock out Tag out (LOTO) Policy is followed.
  • Follow all ESDS Electro Safety Sensitive Devices are properly removed, capped and plugged along with as necessary ESDS bagged with approved bagging material.
  • Able to work any or all shifts.
