About The Position

Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking an Aircraft Structure Technician to join their team supporting the CH147F Phase Inspections for the Royal Canadian Airforce. This role reports to the Maintenance Operations Manager and is based at the Petawawa facility. The technician will be responsible for repairs, assembly, disassembly, modification, and testing of aircraft systems and components, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The position is 100% onsite and requires the selected candidate to work at the listed location. Employer is not willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years’ experience with sheet metal work.
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience with composite repair.
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience with painting aircraft/components.
  • Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Avionics Technician (AME-E) licensed or Military equivalent.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
  • Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 1-year experience as an Aircraft Certification Authority (or Military Equivalent).
  • Prefer completion a composites repair course (Advanced composite repair desired).
  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) or Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS).
  • Active Secret Level II Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Repair composite/fiberglass/metal damage on the aircraft
  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems.
  • Configures aircraft and bench test equipment.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and establishes processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Inspect components and verify repairs for flightworthiness.
  • Works under general direction, interfacing with On-Site Program Management.
  • Ability to perform as part of a cohesive team, working toward a common goal.
