About The Position

Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking an Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their existing team of mechanics supporting the CH147F Phase Inspections in support of the Royal Canadian Airforce. This role reports to the Maintenance Operations Manager and is based out of the Petawawa facility. The position is expected to be 100% onsite, and the selected candidate will be required to work at the listed location. The employer is not willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Requirements

  • 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required, preferred on CH47F platform.
  • Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Avionics Technician (AME-E) licensed or Military equivalent.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
  • Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Nice To Haves

  • Have successfully completed a formal, CH147F type training course related to their aviation specialty taught by an acceptable training organization
  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) or Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
  • Active Secret Level II Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
  • Oversees training.
  • Works under general direction.
  • Ability to perform as part of a cohesive team, working toward a common goal.
