Aircraft Structural Design Engineer 1

Gulfstream•Savannah, GA
•Onsite

About The Position

The Aircraft Structural Design Engineer 1 performs entry-level engineering work related to investigating and solving basic problems associated with the research, design, development, service, and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft. The role supports development and sustainment of structural definitions for large-cabin aircraft, including new product development and improvements to the existing fleet. Working under close supervision and established procedures, the engineer helps define the form, fit, and function of airframe parts and assemblies; integrates systems; and supports selection of materials, processes, and finishes. The role uses 3D CAD and engineering fundamentals to produce design definitions for manufacturing, and offers exposure to design reviews, aircraft build support, and the aircraft design and build process. The engineer collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, program, supplier, and customer support teams. The position requires clear written and verbal communication, effective teamwork, and a willingness to keep developing technical knowledge. Travel may be up to 25%, and the position is onsite in Savannah, Georgia, on the first shift.
