About The Position

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is seeking an Aircraft Special Missions Stress Analysis Engineer 4. The role guides the successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of company products and services. The engineer works with substantial independence, exercises latitude in determining technical objectives, and is consulted as a recognized authority in the field. Work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results.

The position pays $97.00 per hour and is a full-time contract role for 12 months, with an opportunity for extension. The first shift is 07:00 to 17:30.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical-related curriculum applicable to the job, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions.
• Ten years of experience in a specific technical discipline, or 15 years of broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with a bachelor's degree.
• Related advanced degrees may count toward experience, limited to two years for a master's degree and four years for a PhD, in applicable fields.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Participation in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program may be required.

• Advanced degree in an engineering-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Serve as a recognized authority in the field and provide extensive consultation to associates and others.
• Anticipate and resolve complex issues creatively and effectively, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Balance technical product considerations with cost and schedule when solving problems.
• Determine technical objectives of assignments and make authoritative decisions and recommendations while working without appreciable direction.
• Maintain current knowledge of developments in the specialty and related aircraft fields, and recommend innovations to improve product quality and effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
