Northrop Grumman is seeking Sheetmetal Fabricators Level 2 or 3 to support various programs in Lake Charles, Louisiana. These positions are contingent upon funding. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 year of sheet metal fabrication experience (for Level 2).
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of sheet metal fabrication experience (for Level 3).
Ability to wear a respirator and other safety gear.
Ability to rotate/work shifts as required by the program.
Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to obtain/maintain a Clearance if the requirements change.
U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

Advanced knowledge of flat pattern layout and sheet metal brake operation.
Advanced knowledge in hand forming sheet metal with shrinker stretcher, rollers.
Advanced knowledge of form block building and hammer forming and straitening parts.

Responsibilities

Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions, both written and verbal.
Ability to operate various fabrication equipment, such as shear, sheet metal brake, rollers, grinders, and presses.
Able to learn and perform other job functions with OJT when required.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to think through problems with forming.
