We’re hiring an Aircraft Refueler—someone who’s mechanically inclined, works outdoors in all conditions, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Weekend shifts may be required after training. As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and 12-hour schedules. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work any shift based on operational needs. Overtime—both scheduled and unscheduled, including holidays—may also be required.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and plan work while adhering to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of aircraft refueling techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and solid mathematical skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to safely drive and operate a standard shift vehicle and other applicable equipment
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current valid Arizona driver’s license with a clear driving record for the past three years required

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education or training in aircraft refueling or airport support operations preferred
  • Experience in aircraft refueling preferred

Responsibilities

  • Research technical data and perform refueling operations in accordance with ATA 103 Standard
  • Test and calibrate fuel components, company special tools, and ground equipment per maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and Ascent Aviation policies and procedures
  • Monitor bulk fuel storage: receiving, dispensing, inventory, and quality control
  • Maintain fuel farm and truck inspection records: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual
  • Perform aircraft fuel sales to company, customer, military, and transit aircraft
  • Fuel and operate ground support equipment (GSE)
  • Conduct runway and taxiway inspections, including FOD pickup and sweeping
  • Inspect fuel systems and identify leaks or discrepancies
  • Test fuel samples prior to all defuel operations before transferring to truck or fuel farm system
  • Perform miscellaneous duties related to aircraft fuel systems, including annual filter changes and hose replacements
  • Ensure customer requirements and needs are met
  • Escort and assist with parking of incoming aircraft
  • Support DOD aircraft by loading, unloading, and providing GSE support
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and participate in activities that maintain safe working conditions
