The Aircraft QC Inspector (AH-64 Technical Inspector) inspects the repair and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. This role involves inspecting the removal and installation of aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and mechanical flight controls and their components. The inspector performs scheduled and special inspections, and conducts limited maintenance operational checks. They assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment, and inspect forms and records related to aircraft maintenance. The position also requires inspecting defective parts of the aircraft, planning, conducting, and supervising aircraft technical inspections, including repairs and modifications. The inspector applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and participates in maintenance test-flights and operation checks as required. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with aircraft configuration control, oil analysis programs, and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration. Additional duties, including maintenance duties, may be requested. A safety-first mentality and adherence to company policies and safety programs are essential.
