About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Aircraft Painter Automation Team Lead to join the Component Paint Operations Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift . Performs painting of aircraft sections per customer's design and unique livery requirements. Verifies aircraft is ready for exterior finish. Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft. Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting.

Requirements

Able to work various shifts and willing to work shift assigned, including overtime
2+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive paint application, paints & coatings, and/or inorganic chemical processes
1+ year experience in work performed at heights up to 125 feet about ground level with appropriate safety gear
Able to take and pass Fall Protection training, work with heights and not exceed personal weight restriction

Responsibilities

Perform Automation inspections for proper function
Performa daily cleaning and set up of automation equipment
Maintain proper stock of all automation parts, covers and sandpaper
Generate and maintain troubleshooting guide for all shifts to reference
Develop training curriculum to train individuals on each shift
Work with automation engineers to identify issues with the automation system
Have the ability of viewing and understand computer- based work instructions and drawings
Maintaining all certifications that are required for the Component Paint Shop
Lead automation team on all shifts with proper automation use
Required to wear fall protection gear(Personal weight restriction of 274 lbs)safety equipment masks
