About The Position

As an Aircraft Paint Detailer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the visual and functional cleanliness of aircraft exteriors and interiors. Responsibilities include detailed cleaning, polishing, and protection of all aircraft surfaces—including painted surfaces, brightwork, cabin interiors, and cockpits. Through exceptional attention to detail and adherence to approved procedures, you will ensure aircraft meet the highest standards of appearance, safety, and care while upholding the Daher‑Kodiak Aircraft mission, values, and commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of aircraft paint detailing experience required.
  • Knowledge of aircraft paint systems, surface finishes, and approved cleaning and polishing products.
  • Understanding of proper chemical handling and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, detail, and polish aircraft exteriors, including painted surfaces, brightwork, windows, and control surfaces.
  • Perform interior detailing of cabins and cockpits using approved cleaning agents and methods.
  • Remove dirt, grease, oil, residue, and debris from aircraft surfaces using manufacturer‑approved tools and products.
  • Apply waxes, sealants, and protective coatings to preserve paint finishes and prevent surface degradation.
  • Polish and buff painted and metal surfaces to achieve a uniform, high‑gloss finish without damaging aircraft materials.
  • Apply decals, striping, and markings in accordance with job specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect aircraft surfaces during the detailing process for scratches, paint defects, corrosion, or other damage and report findings to supervision.
  • Safely maintain, handle, and store all detailing equipment, tools, and chemicals in a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and aircraft maintenance procedures.
