About The Position

ARS is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic (UH-60) to work in Honolulu, HI. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! This role involves performing advanced maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft, airframes, systems, components, and powerplant-related systems. The mechanic will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, remove, replace, adjust, and install UH-60 aircraft mechanical components and assemblies in accordance with applicable technical manuals and maintenance procedures. This includes maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various UH-60 aircraft systems such as flight control systems, rotor systems, engines, gearboxes, drivetrain, hydraulic, fuel, landing gear, pneumatic, mechanical, and airframe components. The position requires diagnosing complex aircraft malfunctions, performing repairs, and conducting inspections, modifications, and structural repairs. The mechanic will interpret and apply technical data, use specialized aviation maintenance equipment, and evaluate mechanical systems and non-complex electrical components. Support for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft inspections, modifications, and component changes is expected. The role also involves providing technical troubleshooting assistance, coordinating maintenance activities, accurately documenting all actions, and providing technical guidance and training to lower-level mechanics. Ensuring all activities comply with technical publications, safety, and quality standards is crucial.

Requirements

  • High School graduate/GED or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Uh-60 aircraft.
  • Must be US citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft, airframes, systems, components, and powerplant-related systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, remove, replace, adjust, and install UH-60 aircraft mechanical components and assemblies in accordance with applicable technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UH-60 aircraft systems, including: Flight control systems, Main and tail rotor systems, Engines and associated components, Main transmission, intermediate gearbox, and tail rotor gearbox, Drive train and drive shaft components, Hydraulic systems, Fuel systems, Landing gear, Pneumatic and mechanical systems, Airframe and structural components.
  • Diagnose complex aircraft malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions using comprehensive knowledge of UH-60 airframe, powerplant, rotor, drivetrain, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and replacement of aircraft components to restore systems to proper operational condition.
  • Perform UH-60 airframe and structural inspections, modifications, repairs, and component replacements, including applicable sheet metal and structural repair work.
  • Interpret and apply UH-60 technical data, including technical manuals, maintenance procedures, engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Utilize aircraft-specific tools, precision measuring devices, and test equipment, including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, and other specialized aviation maintenance equipment.
  • Inspect and evaluate mechanical systems and non-complex electrical components to determine proper operation and serviceability.
  • Perform inspections, adjustments, rigging, and maintenance of UH-60 flight controls, rotor systems, and related mechanical components.
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft inspections, modifications, component changes, repairs, and other maintenance requirements.
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting assistance and maintenance expertise to engineers, customers, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to meet operational requirements, production goals, and established aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Accurately document inspections, maintenance actions, repairs, component replacements, and corrective actions in applicable aircraft logs, records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and assistance to lower-level aircraft mechanics and technicians performing UH-60 maintenance and modification activities.
  • Ensure all UH-60 maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification activities are completed in accordance with applicable technical publications, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
