About The Position
This Aircraft Mechanic 2 is a PBMF quality control technical inspector for MH-60/MH-47/MH-6 aircraft.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid U.S. Drivers license
- Must possess or be able to obtain secret clearance.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years in aircraft maintenance, with at least two years of experience in assigned MDS aircraft.
- Must be able to climb on/in/around aircraft, maintenance stands, and major components.
Nice To Haves
- Service school producing aircraft technical inspectors preferable.
- Weight and balance certification is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Inspects and accepts maintenance performed and completes all aircraft historical records processes in ACN and MCDS.
- Coordinates for government quality assurance acceptance of critical safety items.
- Conducts aircraft inventories, weight and balance activities, tracks defective work in the phase bay.
- Submits aircraft historical records for government review upon completion of maintenance.
- Conducts post-maintenance and end-of-shift tool inventories.
- Produces Maintenance Engineering Calls (MECs) for submission to a Logistical Assistance Representative (LAR) for repairs beyond the limits specified in the technical publications.
- Tracks life-limited components in aircraft historical records.
