About The Position
Aircraft Mechanic II serves as a Quality Control Technical inspector and performs Quality Control functions for the Modification Work Order (MWO) team.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- A minimum of 10 years in rotary wing aviation maintenance with an emphasis on electrical/avionic experience.
- Experienced with aircraft and component historical records.
- Experienced in ACN or equivalent electronic aircraft records systems.
- Must be able to climb in/on/around aircraft to inspect MWO installation work.
Responsibilities
- Performs inspection of MWO installations and MWO kit builds, ensuring that work is completed according to service guidance and local procedures.
- Maintains historical records and approves MWO installation work for assigned MWOs. Will coordinate for government QAR acceptance of MWO installations.
- Completes and approves local MWO installation packets.
- Enters MWO compliance records in both ACN and MCDS.
- Will request MECs through government LARs for maintenance that exceeds normal MWO allowances/directives.
