The Aircraft Mechanic I (UH-60) performs maintenance on helicopters, excluding repair of systems according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures. This role involves removing and installing aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and mechanical flight controls, as well as servicing and lubricating aircraft and subsystems. The mechanic prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks, performs scheduled and assists in special inspections, and conducts limited maintenance operational checks. They also assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment, and perform operator maintenance on tools and ground support equipment. Additionally, the role requires preparing forms and records related to aircraft maintenance, removing and disassembling defective parts, and maintaining supplies and performing preventive maintenance. The position also includes performing additional duties as requested, and adhering to company policies and safety programs with a safety-first mentality.
