About The Position

The Aircraft Mechanic I – Plane Captain (F-18) is required to perform organizational level maintenance on assigned aircraft under contract to V2X, China Lake, CA.

Requirements

Shall have completed the appropriate Navy Skill Specialty T/M Class "C" school in airframe, electronic, avionics, hydraulic, or power plants and related systems training or equivalent USMC/USCG equivalent.
Shall have minimum of two years of experience in O-Level maintenance in the specific T/M aircraft hired to maintain. F-18
Shall have two years T/M experience within the last two years.
Shall T/M aircraft Plane Captain Qualification, tow tractor, and duct driver.
Must be able to operate GSE in support of the assigned airframe
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain or maintain a secret security clearance.
Candidates must have been released from military service with an Honorable Discharge to meet minimum qualifications.

Nice To Haves

Maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable. aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, or egress systems.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on applicable T/M/S aircraft.
Perform flight line essential services and other maintenance related actions as directed to support the daily Flight Schedule.
Shall be licensed to drive and operate Ground Support Equipment.
All Aircraft Servicer’s will be Plane Captain certified IAW a Government approved certification process for each T/M/S applicable to their background experience and/or documented equivalent training for the applicable T/M/S.
