The Aircraft Mechanic I Electrician (CH-47, UH-60) inspects and performs electrical maintenance on aircraft electrical systems and components according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures. This role involves installing, removing, testing, and repairing avionics equipment, electrical wiring, and electronic components. The mechanic will diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, repair aircraft instrument systems, and apply principles of electricity/electronics, hydrostatic motion, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Responsibilities also include cleaning, preserving, and storing components, servicing nickel cadmium batteries, and performing operator maintenance on tools and ground support equipment. The position requires preparing aircraft for inspections, performing scheduled and special inspections, and requisitioning necessary parts and supplies. Additionally, the role involves preparing forms and records related to aircraft maintenance, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to company policies and safety programs.
