This role involves performing complex avionics and electrical system inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and rewiring. The mechanic will work with applicable technical manuals, special tools, and test equipment, possessing a high degree of expertise in aircraft electrical/avionics systems. Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, OEMs, and management to resolve technical issues, assisting with P&E report preparation, and potentially becoming aircraft turn-up certified. The position also involves assisting with engine removal/replacement, performing aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections, and potentially becoming Plane Captain certified. The role requires the ability to work various shifts, travel as needed, and provide technical assistance and guidance. Maintaining accurate records, practicing good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness, and safety are essential. Compliance with Hazardous Waste Program and operating support equipment are also required. The mechanic will be qualified to perform corrosion detection, treatment, prevention, and documentation, and must have knowledge of basic supply procedures, including assisting with ordering parts and materials. Compliance with safety rules and regulations is mandatory, along with participation in daily hanger cleanups.
