Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 12 years of experience within the last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification (10 of these years must be related exempt experience); OR Bachelor's degree with 8 years of exempt experience; OR Associate's degree with 6 years of experience.
  • 10 years in a supervisory position responsible for assigning program workloads and duties for entire shifts (high school path); OR 8 years supervisory experience (Bachelor's degree path); OR 6 years supervisory experience (Associate's degree path).
  • Quality Assurance background performing aircraft and NAMP program inspections.
  • Experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, launch/recovery of aircraft, aircraft wash, aircraft tow procedures, and Daily/Turnaround inspections.
  • Ability to manage Individual Material Ready List (IMRL) equipment with 100% accountability.
  • Working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
  • Working knowledge of NALCOMIS operating procedures.
  • Working knowledge of basic supply procedures.
  • Working knowledge of applicable aircraft.
  • Experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and protection.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to write clearly and with technical accuracy.
  • Satisfactory completion of specialized aircraft maintenance "A" School, or equivalent.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Valid state driver's license (required).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) CAC (Commons Access Card)

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License (desired, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties associated with the job classification.
  • Manage all aspects of the assigned work center, ensuring all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform administrative tasks required for the day-to-day operations of the work center.
  • Supervise maintenance staff, including reviewing employee performance and timecards for accuracy, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting priorities.
  • Oversee flight line operations and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Review manning documents; create and submit requests for personnel; participate in the hiring of qualified personnel.
  • Conduct project planning, organization, risk management, decision-making, and milestone approvals for all tasks related to the work center.
  • Instruct assigned employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures as required.
  • Perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
  • Enforce NAMP programs and Government operating procedures.
  • Assist as directed to ensure the safety, security, and preservation of Government/Company-owned equipment.
  • Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
