About The Position

The Aviation Maintenance Technician assists licensed Aircraft Mechanics in the inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of aircraft while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in aviation maintenance and work toward an A&P certification.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Mechanically inclined and either currently attending aircraft maintenance school or have a military background with aircraft maintenance experience.
• Must be willing and able to test for A&P license exam once eligible.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to demonstrate poise, tact, and professionally interact and communicate with employees, vendors, and individuals at all levels of the organization and community.
• Service-oriented and able to build productive professional relationships.
• Must possess adequate tools to perform job functions.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a licensed A&P Mechanic: Performs efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies to ensure airworthiness.
• Ensures consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records are maintained.
• Read and interpret manufacturers and airlines maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Operate all tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment.
• Must maintain and present a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain reliable, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Successful completion and favorable results of pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
• Adhere to all Aero Air policies and standards of conduct.
• Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
