The Line RON Aircraft Maintenance Technician works outside on the ramp during overnight hours to inspect and repair aircraft, check systems, correct issues, and prepare planes for their next flights. The role works closely with Technical Operations and Airport Teams to support safe, on-time flight operations. It involves hands-on aircraft maintenance in a fast-paced environment governed by flight schedules and a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which sets pay, schedules, and other job details. Schedules are based on seniority and may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Mandatory overtime may be required, and shift trading may be available. The mechanic’s work includes recognized aircraft mechanic duties in company shops, maintenance bases, and stations, including checking, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding, erecting, and painting aircraft parts and systems. The role requires reading and following maintenance documentation, documenting completed work, completing required training, maintaining awareness of hazards, and communicating and cooperating with internal and external customers. The position pays $35.77 per hour, plus an $8.50-per-hour A&P premium for employees with A&P licenses. Future increases may apply under the collective bargaining agreement wage scale based on time in position. Overtime and shift premiums are available. Benefits include free standby travel on open seats for the employee and eligible dependents, a company 401(k) match, potential annual profit sharing, and health insurance options for the employee and eligible dependents beginning on the first day of employment.
