Aircraft Maintenance Technician I - Black Hawk
About The Position
This is the entry and first working level for certificated Airframe and Powerplant technicians. Incumbents at this level work under the guidance of a Lead Technician and inspect and repair aircraft, engines, and components, and return aircraft to service. The role involves performing maintenance and repair to aircraft, engines, propellers, rotors, and components in accordance with approved procedures. It also includes learning various aircraft maintenance requirements, standards, and procedures, determining the airworthiness of airframe and engine components, and inspecting systems for proper operation and condition. May perform Confined Space Entry Maintenance to include aircraft fuel tank repairs.
Requirements
- Possession of FAA Airframe & Powerplant Technician’s Certificates.
- Possession of a valid Class-C Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of FAA federal aviation regulations pertaining to the maintenance and repair of aircraft.
- Knowledge of FAA-approved maintenance practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Knowledge of aircraft shop maintenance operational procedures.
- Ability to work under the general guidance of a lead or journey level technician.

- Prior Black Hawk experience highly desired.
