About The Position

This role involves performing all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with the Company General Maintenance Manual (GMM). The technician is responsible and accountable for all work performed, including the proper completion of all Company forms, handling of parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft during the repair process. Ensuring documentation is current with open discrepancies and completed corrective actions is crucial. The technician must also ensure the adequacy, correctness, and completion of all associated documentation for maintenance or inspections performed. Identifying and reporting mechanical interruption events and submitting personal OJT tasks in a timely manner are key responsibilities. Maintaining a safe, clean, and operative work area, accounting for all tools, and properly caring for and using tooling and equipment are also essential. Immediate notification of any condition compromising airworthiness is required. The role also includes performing inspection tasks, overseeing inspection and quality control methods, recommending and verifying corrective actions, and conducting on-site monitoring of the maintenance process. Specific duties include performing Required Inspection Items (RII) inspections, ensuring documentation accuracy, performing Receiving Inspections (RI) of incoming parts, and reviewing Work Packages (WP) for designated RII items. The technician may also perform Technical Representative duties, conduct continuous surveillance of work in progress and maintenance support shop areas, perform audits, approve maintenance and inspection tasks, and stop work if a critical finding is discovered. Ensuring provider employees are properly trained and qualified, and that tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated, are also part of the role. Maintaining a progress log, attending meetings, acting as a liaison, overseeing pre-flight inspections, and performing acceptance checks for acquired aircraft are additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with Company General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Be responsible and accountable for all work performed.
  • Properly complete all Company forms on all work assigned and performed.
  • Properly handle all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft while in the repair process.
  • Ensure that all documentation is kept current with open discrepancies and completed corrective actions.
  • Ensure the adequacy, correctness, and completion of all associated and required documentation for all maintenance or inspections performed.
  • Identify and report mechanical Interruption events at their location to the Manager of Maintenance.
  • Submit personal OJT tasks in a timely and continuing manner.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean, and operative condition and ensure all tools are accounted for at completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Properly care for and use the tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance.
  • Immediately notify the Manager of Maintenance and all other appropriate personnel of any condition that would compromise the airworthiness of Company aircraft.
  • Maintain a valid Airframe, Powerplant, or Repairman Certificate.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC and/or DOM.
  • Perform inspection tasks when exercising Designated Inspector privileges.
  • Oversee the application of inspection and quality control methods and procedures to ensure safety.
  • Recommend, initiate and verify corrective actions, control unsatisfactory conditions, and report to the DQ on any quality issues.
  • Recommend corrective action on methods, materials, and workmanship to ensure the highest level of flight safety.
  • Exercise individual initiative and sound judgment to make decisions regarding the airworthiness of aircraft and the quality of maintenance work, materials, and practices to ensure that all aircraft, engines, or appliances released for flight are airworthy.
  • Conduct on-sight monitoring of the overall maintenance process to ensure a high level of quality and compliance throughout the entire maintenance process.
  • Perform Required Inspection Items (RII) inspections to ensure the quality of the workmanship.
  • Ensure the documentation of inspection work is complete and accurate.
  • Perform Receiving Inspections (RI) of all incoming parts to ensure conformity and required documentation.
  • Review Work Packages (WP) for designated RII items.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by DQ.
  • Perform Technical Representative duties when assigned.
  • Provide continuous surveillance of work in progress.
  • Perform audits during and after work is completed.
  • Perform spot inspections of work in progress.
  • Perform continuous surveillance of maintenance support shop areas.
  • Approve all maintenance and inspection tasks prior to start of work.
  • Stop work and notify the DOM when a critical finding has been discovered.
  • Ensure that Provider employees are properly trained and qualified to complete the tasks they have been assigned.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Maintain a progress log that accurately presents the current status of the aircraft and remaining work and inspection requirements.
  • Attend and/or call all Provider meetings relating to the aircraft work and inspection process.
  • Act as a liaison between the Provider and the Company.
  • Oversee pre-flight inspections and accompany test flight crews on functional check flights.
  • Ensure proper release of aircraft to and from service including work package review.
  • Perform acceptance check for Company acquired aircraft when assigned to a delivery inspection.
