About The Position

AircraftWorks Ltd., a Calgary (CYYC) based AMO and part of the Take Flight Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) specializing in Avionics. This senior role involves maintaining a fleet of corporate jets and turboprops, many of which are highly automated. The position requires a high level of technical skill, including diagnosing avionics and systems defects involving complex circuitry, sharing experience, and providing guidance to other AMEs. Type-specific training will be provided within the first year of employment and ongoing as needed. This is a Monday through Friday day shift position with occasional overtime and potential schedule changes to support Aircraft On Ground (AOG) events.

Requirements

  • Valid Transport Canada E license.
  • 5+ years of experience on corporate aircraft.
  • Extremely well-developed troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience on 2 or more of the specified avionics platforms.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid passport.
  • Ability to hold a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
  • Medically fit.
  • A desire to be challenged to provide legendary customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to other AMEs diagnosing avionics and systems defects involving complex circuitry.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics and systems in a cost-effective manner.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure in all tasks.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to prevent maintenance-induced damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service by meeting customer needs.
  • Model safe behaviors by assessing and mitigating risks.
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) program.
  • As an ACA holder, supervise and certify the work of others and complete aircraft operational checks.
  • Collaborate within the maintenance group to achieve daily and long-term goals.
  • Uphold world-class standards representing the AircraftWorks brand.
