About The Position

Inspects aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications. Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product. Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required (education will be verified)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Provide input to the technical needs and solutions required for the manufacture, inspection of materials and components.
  • Ability to record detailed information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead.
  • Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.
  • The ability to pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam.
  • Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time.
  • Active Government Secret clearance as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • US citizenship required for clearance
  • Must pass visual exam
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical and/or inspection experience (for Level 2)
  • Experience in inspection processes; knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments (for Level 2)
  • Experience with common quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions (for Level 2)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a highly technical aerospace/manufacturing environment.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with the quality process
  • Work experience in manufacturing of composite parts.
  • Related industry experience in either manufacturing or inspection.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
