About The Position

Inspects aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications. Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product. Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required (education will be verified)
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Provide input to the technical needs and solutions required for the manufacture, inspection of materials and components.
Ability to record detailed information accurately and in a timely manner.
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead.
Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.
The ability to pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam.
Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time.
Active Government Secret clearance as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
US citizenship required for clearance
Must pass visual exam
A minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical and/or inspection experience (for Level 2)
Experience in inspection processes; knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments (for Level 2)
Experience with common quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions (for Level 2)

Nice To Haves

Experience in a highly technical aerospace/manufacturing environment.
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Familiarity with the quality process
Work experience in manufacturing of composite parts.
Related industry experience in either manufacturing or inspection.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
