Requirements

  • 18 years old or older.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Parts Clerk experience or experience in a similar industry with an aptitude for the duties.
  • Qualified SkyWest Receiving Inspector, experience in receiving in a similar industry, or ability to obtain Parts Department Receiving Inspector Qualification.
  • Comprehension of policy, procedures, and industry requirements regarding Spares Support for Essential Maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Strong work habits and teamwork skills.
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
  • Comfortable working with various computer programs.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
  • Able to work effectively with on-site SkyWest Heavy MX Technical Representatives, Essential Maintenance Provider, and Spares Department.
  • Willing to travel as needed for Heavy Maintenance Spares Support.

Responsibilities

  • Support Essential Maintenance Provider’s as a Parts Department employee, reporting to the Manager of Aircraft Spares.
  • Understand and apply company manuals, specifically Chapter 4 (Aircraft Spares and Support) and Chapter 2 (Sections 4 and 5 regarding Contract and Substantial Maintenance, and Essential Maintenance Vendor Procedure Manual).
  • Assist the Essential Maintenance Provider with interpretation and implementation of the SkyWest GMM.
  • Support Heavy Maintenance Spares by collaborating with the Heavy Maintenance Technical Representative Group and the Essential Maintenance Provider.
  • Communicate with and assist the Essential Maintenance Provider Purchasing group in acquiring necessary parts/spares for Heavy Maintenance Program Projects.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with SkyWest and the Essential Maintenance Provider.
  • Track and manage all “Canned” Aircraft Parts (robbing from one C-Check A/C to another) using Excel and perform related SkyTrack functions.
  • Report Canned Parts status to Spares Department Supervisors and Management.
  • Prepare for and attend daily Heavy Maintenance Spares meetings.
  • Attend Pre-draw meetings for incoming aircraft.
  • Assist in planning and preparing parts/spares for Heavy Maintenance Program projects.
  • Ensure removed Serialized Components are returned to the SkyWest Spares Department promptly.
  • Update the No Buy List and request purchases and expedites of parts as needed.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by the Manager of Spares.
