About The Position

The Aircraft Detailer and Line Service Intern supports the Maintenance team by assisting with cleaning and detailing aircraft interiors and exteriors to company standards. This internship provides hands-on exposure to business aviation Maintenance Base operations while emphasizing safety awareness, professional standards, and operational discipline relevant to careers in aviation.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an aviation technical program or college
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on aircraft activity
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Interest in aviation or hands‑on mechanical/operations environments preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with cleaning aircraft interiors and exteriors to company standards, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and general detailing
Help ensure aircraft are clean and presentation-ready following arrivals, prior to departures, and customer demonstrations
Facilitate timely cleaning to meet flight schedules, including occasional early morning or evening needs
Safely operate and care for cleaning equipment and supplies
Assist with the stocking of onboard amenities, and organization and inventory maintenance of the MKC Stock Locker
Maintain clean, organized work areas in hangars and on the ramp
Assist Line Service in safely moving aircraft, including wing walking and marshaling aircraft
Support the Parts Department, including delivery of parts requiring travel.
Properly store cleaning tools and materials to maintain a professional work environment
Follow all company policies, and safety procedures
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company dress code
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
