Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Strong technical knowledge in aircraft mechanical component repair is a must.

Nice To Haves

At least 2+ years of experience in work directly related to aircraft component maintenance preferred.
FAA Airframe and Power Plant license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform aircraft component overhaul and repair.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the shop assigned.
Maintain daily component status reports.
Manage weekly component inventory and status reports using multiple sources of information.
Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
Prioritize daily workload based on program, management, and/or scheduling requirements.
Plan and execute component repair activities.
Recognize or identify problems and provide input for solutions.
Perform tasks under distracting or monotonous conditions without significant loss of thought process and efficiency.
Operate hand and power tools.
Read, understand, and respond to written instructions and logbook notations.
Inform appropriate personnel of materials and equipment problems.
