About The Position

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of its aircraft component maintenance shop. The role leads shop workflow and efficiency, supports technicians performing sheet metal and/or composite repairs, and ensures work meets repair schedules and turnaround-time requirements. The manager coordinates with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Customer Service to support timely delivery and regulatory compliance, while monitoring performance and quality metrics, developing personnel, and reporting operations to upper management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical background in aircraft component repair, including sheet metal and composite work.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, Part 145 repair station requirements, and EASA standards.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team management skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and shop management software.

Nice To Haves

• Pentagon shop management software experience is preferred.
• Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shop operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to repair schedules and turnaround-time requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Oversee and support technicians performing sheet metal and/or composite repairs.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics to identify process-improvement opportunities.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate shop personnel.
• Provide technical input and support on complex repairs.
• Prepare and present operational reports to upper management.
